Liquid enzyme breakers, LEB-4 and LEB-H, provide a controlled means to reduce the viscosity of guar gum solutions. LEB-4 is used primarily in construction and fracturing. LEB-H is used primarily in higher pH systems.

HIGH pH ENZYME BREAKER

LEB-H is a high pH stable enzyme breaker. LEB-H is the breaker of choice for fluids having a pH of 6.0 or higher. Conventional enzyme breakers exhibit maximum enzyme activity at a pH of 5 to 6 and are lose than 50% active at pH 7. In contrast, LEB-H has maximum activity at pH 7-8 and greater than 80% activity at pH 10. This makes LEB-H ideally suited for the high pH of preserved biopolymer systems and reactive systems that become alkaline in pH level. LEB-H is a freeze-proofed suspension of active enzymes in carrier liquid.

LEB-4
LIQUID ENZYME BREAKER

Rantec LEB-4 is a highly concentrated liquid enzyme based breaker. It is used to break water based guar gum and derivitized guar gum gels and viscous slurries. LEB-4 reduces the viscosity of gels and slurries to less than 15 cPs or 30 MFs, enhancing fluid flow and recovery of fluid from wells and gravel packed extraction trenches. When used properly, with proper circulation, LEB-4 will increase gravel pack permeability.
