Polymer Water-Based Drilling Fluids

Rantec Corporation supplies a complete range of polymers and additives for polymer water-based drilling fluids.  Polymer fluids provide a number of advantages over clay based and oil-based muds.  Reduced environmental effects, improved rate of penetration, reduced handling and ease of control are just some of those advantages.

Polymer based fluids are appropriate for irrigation wells, dewatering wells, oil and gas wells, exploration drilling and many other drilling projects.  For potable water well drilling NSF certified product is also available.

For optimal performance design polymer based fluids to suit the geological conditions, drilling equipment and target goal.  Design considerations will include the drilling duration, fluid density requirements, fluid loss requirements, temperature and well control factors.  Please consult with Rantec engineers for advice in the fluid design.
